A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

EXPRESSING SORROW AT THE DEATH OF HAROLD C. MORRIS OF SUMMERTON AND EXTENDING SYMPATHY TO HIS FAMILY AND MANY FRIENDS.

Whereas, Harold C. Morris of Summerton, a beloved, devoted, and dedicated individual in his community, has died; and

Whereas, Mr. Morris was a retired insurance executive and a pillar among the merchant community of Summerton and was so recognized by being elected as president of the Summerton Merchants Association; and

Whereas, Mr. Morris was a person who constantly worked toward building a better community and a better Clarendon County; and

Whereas, he was the husband of Barbara M. Morris of Summerton, and the father of Officer Gene Morris of the S.C. Department of Natural Resources of Summerton, and Dr. Joy Morris of Townville, who brought much love, care, concern, and help not only to his family but to the good people of his community. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, express sorrow at the death of Harold C. Morris of Summerton and extend sympathy to his family and his many friends.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the family of Harold C. Morris and to his business associate and friend, Mr. Everett (Eddie) Randall.
