A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

EXPRESSING THE PROFOUND SORROW OF THE MEMBERS OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY AT THE DEATH OF THE HONORABLE DOUGLAS HUGH MCFADDIN, CLERK OF COURT OF CLARENDON COUNTY, AND EXTENDING DEEPEST SYMPATHY TO HIS FAMILY AND MANY FRIENDS.

Whereas, the Honorable Douglas Hugh McFaddin, Clerk of Court of Clarendon County, was tragically killed upon being struck by an automobile on Saturday, December 2, 1995; and

Whereas, Mr. McFaddin was a longtime resident and farmer in the New Zion community of Clarendon County; he was elected clerk of court in 1992, and, prior to his election, he was employed by Stephens Funeral Home of Manning; and

Whereas, he was an outstanding and devoted public servant and was greatly respected, admired, and loved by all who knew him. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, express profound sorrow at the death of the Honorable Douglas Hugh McFaddin, Clerk of Court of Clarendon County, and extend deepest sympathy to his family and many friends.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the McFaddin family.
