A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

EXPRESSING THE SORROW OF THE MEMBERS OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY AT THE DEATH OF HERMAN HAYNIE OF ANDERSON COUNTY AND EXTENDING SYMPATHY TO HIS FAMILY AND FRIENDS.

Whereas, Herman Haynie of Anderson County died on November 10, 1995, at the age of seventy-four; and

Whereas, he was born in Belton, was a navy veteran of the Second World War, was employed by Duke Power Company for over thirty-six years, and at the time of his retirement, was supervisor of the Water Department for the City of Anderson; and

Whereas, he was a fifty-year member of Hiram Masonic Lodge #68, a member of the Electric City Lions Club, and a member of New Prospect Baptist Church; and

Whereas, we want his family and friends to know that they are in our thoughts and have our deepest sympathy. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, express sorrow at the death of Herman Haynie of Anderson County and extend sympathy to his family and friends.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the family of Mr. Haynie.
