A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO CONGRATULATE MILLIKEN & COMPANY FOR BEING AWARDED THE FIRST ENVIRONMENTAL CHAMPION AWARD RECOGNIZING OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE IN THE UNITED STATES ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY'S 33/50 PROGRAM WHICH ENCOURAGES THE REDUCTION IN A COMPANY'S USE OF SEVENTEEN TARGETED CHEMICALS, AND TO WISH THE COMPANY MUCH SUCCESS IN THE FUTURE.

Whereas, Milliken & Company has been named a winner of the Environmental Champion Award in the United States Environmental Protection Agency's 33/50 program; and

Whereas, this is the first award sponsored by McGraw-Hill Company's Chemical Engineering and Environmental Engineering World magazines and the United States Environmental Protection Agency; and

Whereas, the criteria for being named a winner of this award are based on a company's success in participating in the Environmental Protection Agency's 33/50 program which targets the reduction in the use of seventeen targeted chemicals; and

Whereas, Milliken & Company was presented with this award at the McGraw-Hill Company's headquarters in New York City; and

Whereas, only twenty companies from across the United States were presented with this award. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly congratulate Milliken & Company as a winner of the first Environmental Champion Award recognizing outstanding performance in the United States Environmental Protection Agency's 33/50 program which encourages the reduction in a company's use of seventeen targeted chemicals, and wish the company much success in the future.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Milliken & Company.
