AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 7-7-80, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE DESIGNATION OF VOTING PRECINCTS IN ANDERSON COUNTY, SO AS TO REDESIGNATE THE PRECINCTS AND ADD AN OFFICIAL DOCUMENT DESIGNATION WHICH IS KEPT ON FILE WITH THE DIVISION OF RESEARCH AND STATISTICAL SERVICES OF THE STATE BUDGET AND CONTROL BOARD AND DELETE A PROVISION CONCERNING THE ANNEXATION OF AREA TO THE CITY OF ANDERSON.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
Precincts redesignated
SECTION 1. Section 7-7-80 of the 1976 Code, as last amended by Act 293 of 1988, is further amended to read:
"Section 7-7-80. (A) In Anderson County there are the following voting precincts: Appleton-Equinox, Barkers Creek, Belton, Bishop's Branch, Bowling Green, Broadview, Broadway, Brushy Creek, Cedar Grove, Centerville, Chiquola Mill, Concrete, Corner, Craytonville, Denver-Sandy Springs, Edgewood, Five Forks, Flat Rock, Fork No. 1, Fork No. 2, Friendship, Gluck Mill, Green Pond Station A, Green Pond Station B, Grove School, Hall, Hammond School, High Point, Homeland Park Station A, Homeland Park Station B, Honea Path, Hopewell, Iva, Jackson Mill, LaFrance, Lakeside, McAdams, Melton, Mount Tabor, Mountain Creek, Neal's Creek, Orr Mill, Pelzer, Pendleton, Piedmont, Piercetown, Rock Mill, Rock Spring, Shirley's Store, Simpsonville, Starr, Three and Twenty, Toney Creek, Townville, Varennes, Walker-McElmoyle, West Pelzer, West Savannah, White Plains, Williamston, Williamston Mill, Wright's School, Ward 1 Precinct 1, Ward 1 Precinct 2, Ward 2 Precinct 1, Ward 2 Precinct 2, Ward 3 Precinct 1, Ward 3 Precinct 2, Ward 4 Precinct 1, Ward 4 Precinct 2, Ward 5 Precinct 1, Ward 5 Precinct 2, Ward 6 Precinct 1, Ward 6 Precinct 2.
(B) The precinct lines defining the above precincts in Anderson County are as shown on the official map prepared by and on file with the Division of Research and Statistical Services of the State Budget and Control Board designated as document P-0796 and as shown on certified copies of the official map provided to the State Election Commission and the Anderson County Board of Voter Registration by the division.
(C) The polling places for the precincts provided in this section must be established by the Anderson County Election Commission subject to the approval of the majority of the Anderson County Legislative Delegation."
