A BILL

TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 44-7-2025 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE SPARTANBURG COUNTY REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER MUST BE APPOINTED BY A MAJORITY OF THE LEGISLATIVE DELEGATION REPRESENTING THE AREA THE CENTER SERVES.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. The 1976 Code is amended by adding:

"Section 44-7-2025. Notwithstanding the provisions of this chapter, the board of directors of the Spartanburg County Regional Medical Center must be appointed by a majority of the legislative delegation representing the area the center serves. All terms and other matters concerning the appointments must be as provided by law."

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
