TO AMEND SECTION 7-11-210, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO NOTICE OF CANDIDACY AND PLEDGE, SO AS TO REQUIRE THAT THE NAMES OF ALL CANDIDATES FOR SELECTION AS NOMINEES OF ANY POLITICAL PARTY MUST BE RELEASED TO ANY PERSON REQUESTING THE NAMES AT ANY TIME DURING THE FILING PERIOD.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Section 7-11-210 of the 1976 Code, as last amended by Act 226 of 1996, is further amended by adding a new paragraph after the second paragraph to read:
"The names of all candidates for selection as nominees of any political party must be released to any person requesting the names at any time during the filing period."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
