TO COMMEND MR. PAUL B. DOBBINS, JR., A SALES EXECUTIVE WITH VULCAN MATERIALS COMPANY, FOR HIS MANY YEARS OF DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AS A BUSINESS AND CIVIC LEADER IN CHEROKEE COUNTY UPON THE OCCASION OF HIS RETIREMENT.
Whereas, the members of the Senate have learned that Mr. Paul B. Dobbins, Jr., a South Carolina sales representative for the Vulcan Materials Company, will be retiring later this month; and
Whereas, Paul Dobbins, is a native and lifelong resident of Cherokee County, began work with Campbell Limestone Company in May 1955, and continued his employment with the acquisition of Campbell by Vulcan Materials in 1969; and
Whereas, during this tenure with Campbell and later Vulcan Materials Company, he established a reputation of working hard and dealing honestly and fairly with customers; and
Whereas, in addition to his successful business career, he also has served his community and State in many varied capacities including faithful service as a deacon and treasurer of the Park Hills Baptist Church; and
Whereas, Paul Dobbins and his lovely wife, the former Daisy Peeler, have been married for more than forty years, are blessed with two children and two grandchildren, and after his retirement will have more time to engage in their interesting hobby of raising Clydesdale horses and refurbishing horse buggies on their farm; and
Whereas, the members of the House, by this resolution, would like to publicly recognize and congratulate this truly fine man and outstanding South Carolinian upon the occasion of his upcoming retirement. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the House commend Mr. Paul B. Dobbins, Jr., a sales executive with Vulcan Materials Company, for his many years of distinguished service as a business and civic leader in Cherokee County upon the occasion of his retirement.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. Paul B. Dobbins, Jr.
