A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

CONGRATULATING MARGARET GIGNILLIAT CLAY ON BEING SELECTED THE JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT SMALL BUSINESS STUDENT OF THE YEAR FOR RICHLAND COUNTY.

Whereas, Margaret Gignilliat Clay has been selected the Junior Achievement Small Business Student of the Year for Richland County; and

Whereas, approximately 8,500 students competed for this distinction; Margaret, at the age of seven, competed with other students up to the age of eighteen; she distinguished herself through exemplary completion of the required regimes for this honor; and

Whereas, Margaret has demonstrated maturity and skill far beyond her years; and

Whereas, she has also been chosen as Student Ambassador for the South Carolina Business Hall of Fame; and

Whereas, Margaret Gignilliat Clay is an outstanding student and a true role model for all South Carolina students; and

Whereas, she achieved this honor through dedication, discipline, and perseverance and is highly deserving of recognition. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, congratulates Margaret Gignilliat Clay on being selected the Junior Achievement Small Business Student of the Year for Richland County.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Margaret Gignilliat Clay.
