A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO RECOGNIZE EUNICE E. EVANS OF GREENVILLE, SOUTH CAROLINA, UPON HER OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE CITIZENS OF THE GREENVILLE AREA.

Whereas, Eunice E. Evans, an untiring, unselfish woman whose objectives are to help somebody along life's way, to reach out and touch somebody's hand, and to make this world a better place, if she can; and

Whereas, Ms. Evans is a very caring and giving person who shares her time and talents, whenever and wherever they are needed in support of all citizens, young and old; and

Whereas, Ms. Evans supports her community and has served as a leader in many organizations to include advisor for the Young Matrons' Auxiliary of the Enoree River Baptist Association; Historian and member of Las Amigas, Inc., Greenville Chapter; member and chaplain of the National Council of Negro Women, Greenville Chapter; First Vice President, Enoree River Young Matron; Auxiliary, Member of Holly Spring Chapter No. 31, Order of Eastern Star; Secretary of S.C. State Usher's Convention to The Baptist Education and Missionary Convention of South Carolina; member of Union Baptist Church; and

Whereas, Ms. Evans has held the positions of president of the Senior Usher Board, Youth Advisor of the Youth Usher Board, Member and Program Coordinator of the Young Matrons' Auxiliary, Member and Secretary of the Board of Trustees, Church Councilor, Adult Women Teacher, and a teacher in the Baptist Superintendent's Forum, Enoree River Baptist Association; and

Whereas, Ms. Evans is actively involved in the Greenville community and has been recognized by the citizens as an outstanding member of the Executive Board of the Phillis Wheatley Community Center; she untiringly supports local nursing homes, Annual Senior Citizens Thanksgiving Banquet, and needy families with assistance, work and contributions; and

Whereas, Ms. Evans is indeed an outstanding example of what is good and decent in American society by practicing "do unto others as you would have them do unto you". Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, recognize Eunice E. Evans of Greenville, South Carolina, upon her outstanding contributions to the citizens of the Greenville area.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Ms. Eunice E. Evans, 10 Flower Drive, Greenville, South Carolina 29605.
