A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

EXPRESSING DEEPEST SORROW AT THE DEATH OF MRS. MAUDE ATKINSON BROWN OF LEE COUNTY, MOTHER OF REPRESENTATIVE GRADY BROWN, AND EXTENDING SYMPATHY TO HER FAMILY AND MANY FRIENDS.

Whereas, Mrs. Maude Atkinson Brown of Lee County died on April 8, 1996, at the age of eighty-one; and

Whereas, she was born in Lee County, a member of Bethel United Methodist Church, the Alice Henderson Bible Class, the Duwego Grange, and the United Daughters of the Confederacy; and

Whereas, she was the mother of the Honorable Grady Brown, member of the South Carolina House of Representatives; and

Whereas, we want her family and many friends to know that they are in our thoughts and prayers and have our deepest sympathy. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, express sorrow at the death of Mrs. Maude Atkinson Brown of Lee County and extend sympathy to her family and many friends.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mrs. Brown's family.
