TO AMEND SECTION 44-96-320, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO SOLID WASTE LANDFILLS, SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT NO SOLID WASTE LANDFILL MAY BE LOCATED WITHIN THREE THOUSAND FEET OF AN AQUACULTURE FARM OR FACILITY.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Section 44-96-320 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding:
"(C) Notwithstanding any other provision of law, no solid waste landfill may be located within three thousand feet of an aquaculture farm or facility."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
