TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 15-1-325 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT IF LEGAL NOTICE OR PROCESS IS REQUIRED OR PERMITTED BY LAW TO BE PUBLISHED OR SERVED BY PUBLICATION, THE MEANS OF PUBLICATION INCLUDE RADIO OR TELEVISION BROADCAST AND TO REQUIRE THE SUPREME COURT BY RULE TO PROVIDE FOR THE MANNER OF SUCH PUBLICATION.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. The 1976 Code is amended by adding:
"Section 15-1-325. If a legal notice or process is required or permitted by law to be published or served by publication, the means of publication include radio or television broadcasting in the area in which the notice or process is required to be published. The Supreme Court by rule shall provide for the manner in which radio and television legal publications may be accomplished."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
