A BILL

TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 50-3-305 SO AS TO TRANSFER THE NATURAL RESOURCES ENFORCEMENT DIVISION OF THE DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES TO THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. Article 3, Chapter 3, Title 50 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding:

"Section 50-3-305. Notwithstanding the provisions of this article, effective July 1, 1995, the Natural Resources Enforcement Division of the Department of Natural Resources, its enforcement officers and employees, and all contractual rights and obligations associated with the division are transferred to and incorporated in and must be administered as part of the Department of Public Safety."

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
