TO APPROVE REGULATIONS OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION, RELATING TO NONPROFESSIONAL PERSONNEL HEALTH EXAMINATIONS, DESIGNATED AS REGULATION DOCUMENT NUMBER 1951, PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF ARTICLE 1, CHAPTER 23, TITLE 1 OF THE 1976 CODE.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. The regulations of the Board of Education, relating to nonprofessional personnel health examinations, designated as Regulation Document Number 1951, and submitted to the General Assembly pursuant to the provisions of Article 1, Chapter 23, Title 1 of the 1976 Code, are approved.
SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
SUMMARY AS SUBMITTED BY PROMULGATING AGENCY.
Regulations for nonprofessional personnel refer to statutes. Paragraph on school bus drivers requires annual physical. Health requirements for all personnel are covered in R43-207, Health Examination. We propose that this regulation be repealed in its entirety because its wording is identical or very similar to a current state statute or other State Board of Education regulation. This regulation is not necessary.
