CONGRATULATING FORT MILL HIGH SCHOOL OF YORK COUNTY ON WINNING THE CLASS AAA BOYS TENNIS STATE CHAMPIONSHIP FOR 1996.
Whereas, Fort Mill High School of York County has captured the 1996 Class AAA boys tennis state title; and
Whereas, the Yellow Jackets of Fort Mill defeated Dreher High School of Columbia by a final score of 4-2 to win the crown--the Jackets' third consecutive title; and
Whereas, the Yellow Jackets were guided by Coach Willie Ware, and the team displayed tremendous talent, hard work, unity, and determination during the 1996 season--qualities which enabled them to repeat as state champions; and
Whereas, we are delighted to have this opportunity to recognize the Yellow Jackets of Fort Mill High School for this outstanding accomplishment and to wish them much success in the future. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, congratulates Fort Mill High School of York County on winning the Class AAA boys tennis state championship for 1996.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Coach Ware and his Yellow Jackets Tennis Team at Fort Mill High School.
