A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO EXTEND CONDOLENCES AND SYMPATHY TO THE FAMILY AND FRIENDS OF MRS. MARY LUCILLE BALDWIN MARTIN OF ANDERSON, SOUTH CAROLINA WHO DIED SUNDAY, MAY 5, 1996.

Whereas, Mrs. Mary Lucille Baldwin Martin died Sunday, May 6, 1996, at her home; and

Whereas, she was the daughter of the late William Benjamin and Nettie Leona Cox Baldwin; and

Whereas, Mrs. Martin was a loving and devoted widow of the late Rufus Allen Martin; and

Whereas, she affectionately devoted her life to caring and nurturing her six children, seventeen grandchildren, and twenty-five great-grandchildren; and

Whereas, Mrs. Martin displayed her reverent commitment to her family as a homemaker; and

Whereas, she was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church and the Fidelis Sunday School Class; and

Whereas, Mrs. Martin was known by the community and others who knew her as a kind, caring, and loving person. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly extend their condolences and sympathy to the family and friends of Mrs. Mary Lucille Baldwin who died on Sunday, May 5, 1996.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the family of Mrs. Mary Lucille Baldwin Martin.
