COMMENDING MR. HAROLD WILLIAMS FOR THIRTY-SIX YEARS OF SERVICE TO LAURENS COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT 56 WHICH INCLUDES TWENTY-FOUR YEARS ON THE CLINTON HIGH SCHOOL COACHING STAFF.
Whereas, Mr. Harold Williams is a 1958 graduate of Allen University where he played collegiate football; and
Whereas, he has served as a public school educator in Laurens County School District 56 for thirty-six years; and
Whereas, Mr. Williams has served on the coaching staff of the Clinton High School Red Devils for twenty-four years; and
Whereas, under his guidance as head coach of the Clinton High School Boys Basketball Team, the Red Devils won the 1988-1989 Board River region title; and
Whereas, in every aspect of his life Mr. Williams has always been an outstanding role model for the school district's young people; and
Whereas, he is a leader in his community and his church, and is a good husband and father. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina commend Mr. Harold Williams of Laurens County for his many years of dedicated service to the field of public education and athletics and wish him, his wife, and family well in all their future endeavors.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. and Mrs. Williams.
