A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

RECOGNIZING AND CONGRATULATING KYLE THOMPSON, A STUDENT AT EASLEY HIGH SCHOOL, ON WINNING THE 1996 CLASS AAAA INDIVIDUAL STATE CHAMPIONSHIP IN GOLF.

Whereas, Kyle Thompson, a junior at Easley High School, has won the 1996 Class AAAA individual state championship in golf; and

Whereas, Kyle's medalist score in the 1996 championship was the third best score ever recorded in Class AAAA; and

Whereas, he was also the Class AAAA high school regional medalist and was selected for the All-Region Golf Team; and

Whereas, he was chosen for the Class AAAA high school All-State Golf Team; and

Whereas, Kyle Thompson is an outstanding student-athlete; he possesses superb golfing skill and talent and has won numerous tournaments and championships, both within and without the Palmetto State, including regional, national, and international competition; and

Whereas, we are delighted to have this opportunity to recognize such a fine and impressive young man. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, recognize and congratulate Kyle Thompson, a student at Easley High School, on winning the 1996 Class AAAA individual state championship in golf.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Kyle Thompson at Easley High School.
