TO AMEND SECTION 12-27-400, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE DISTRIBUTION AND USE OF THE 2.66 CENTS A GALLON GASOLINE TAX, SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT INTEREST EARNINGS ON THE COUNTY TRANSPORTATION FUND IN THE STATE TREASURY MUST BE CREDITED TO THE STATE HIGHWAY FUND.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Section 12-27-400(A) of the 1976 Code, as last amended by Section 17, Part II, Act 497 of 1994, is further amended by adding at the end:
"All interest earnings on the county transportation fund in the State Treasury must be credited to the State Highway Fund."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect July 1, 1995.
