TO AMEND SECTION 11-35-4410, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE PROCUREMENT REVIEW PANEL, SO AS TO DECREASE THE PANEL FROM EIGHT TO SEVEN MEMBERS AND MAKE A CORRESPONDING REDUCTION IN THE NUMBER OF MEMBERS NECESSARY TO CONSTITUTE A QUORUM.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Section 11-35-4410(2)(f) of the 1976 Code, as last amended by Act 178 of 1993, is further amended to read:
"(f) two one state employees employee appointed by the Governor."
SECTION 2. Section 11-35-4410(3) of the 1976 Code, as last amended by Act 178 of 1993, is further amended to read:
"(3) Chairperson and Meetings. The panel shall elect a chairman from the members at large and shall meet as often as necessary to afford a swift resolution of the controversies submitted to it. Five Four members present and voting shall constitute constitutes a quorum. At-large members of the panel shall must be paid per diem, mileage, and subsistence as provided by law for members of boards, commissions, and committees. The State state employee members member shall must be reimbursed for meals, lodging, and travel in accordance with current state allowances."
SECTION 3. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
