A JOINT RESOLUTION

TO TRANSFER JURISDICTION OVER THE RICHARD M. CAMPBELL VETERANS NURSING HOME FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF MENTAL HEALTH TO THE DIVISION OF VETERANS AFFAIRS IN THE OFFICE OF THE GOVERNOR.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any other provision of law or contractual relationship, the jurisdiction over the Richard M. Campbell Veterans Nursing Home is transferred from the Department of Mental Health to the Division of Veterans Affairs in the Office of the Governor. Any contractual obligations of the Home must be assigned by the Department of Mental Health to the Division of Veterans Affairs.

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
