A BILL

TO REVISE THE MANNER IN WHICH THE MEMBERS OF THE RICHLAND COUNTY HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION ARE APPOINTED.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the seven members of the Richland County Historic Preservation Commission shall be appointed by the Governor upon the advice and consent of the Senate. These members shall serve at the pleasure of the Governor.

The terms of all present members of the commission serving in office on the effective date of this act shall expire thereon and their successors shall be appointed in the manner provided herein.

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
