A SENATE RESOLUTION

COMMENDING CORPORAL MARVIN J. LEE FOR HIS EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE AND BRAVERY WHILE IN THE PERFORMANCE OF HIS DUTIES DURING A MAIN DISTURBANCE AT THE BROAD RIVER CORRECTIONAL INSTITUTION ON APRIL 17, 1995.

Whereas, Corporal Marvin J. Lee rendered exceptional service and exhibited great bravery while in the performance of his duties during a main disturbance at the Broad River Correctional Institution on April 17, 1995; and

Whereas, upon noticing that a fellow officer was wounded and being subjected to further injury by armed inmates, Officer Lee immediately and without regard for his personal safety, immediately entered the hostile scene and personally removed the injured officer to safety; and

Whereas, Corporal Lee is highly deserving of recognition and commendation. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate:

That the Senate of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, commends Corporal Marvin J. Lee for exceptional service and bravery while in the performance of his duties during a main disturbance at the Broad River Correctional Institution on April 17, 1995.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Corporal Marvin J. Lee.
