TO CONGRATULATE YVONNE A. JACOBS OF YORK COUNTY ON BEING SELECTED TO RECEIVE THE SOUTH CAROLINA TAX COUNCIL SCHOLARSHIP FOR 1995-96 AND TO WISH HER WELL IN ALL HER FUTURE ENDEAVORS.
Whereas, Yvonne A. Jacobs of York County has been selected by the South Carolina Tax Council to receive a one thousand dollar scholarship for 1995-96; and
Whereas, over eighty South Carolina colleges and universities were requested to submit their top student for this year's scholarship; and
Whereas, Ms. Jacobs, a rising senior at Winthrop College majoring in Business/Accounting, was unanimously chosen by the Tax Council Scholarship Committee; and
Whereas, she has an outstanding academic record at Winthrop with a 4.0 grade point average in accounting and a 3.66 overall grade point average; and
Whereas, Ms. Jacobs has been an exemplary student at Winthrop, an active member of the Winthrop Accounting Club, and a student member of the South Carolina Association of C.P.A's. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:
That the General Assembly, by this resolution, congratulates Yvonne A. Jacobs of York County for being selected to receive the South Carolina Tax Council Scholarship for 1995-96 and wishes her well in all her future endeavors.
