TO AMEND ARTICLE 1, CHAPTER 9, TITLE 50 OF THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO HUNTING, FISHING AND TRAPPING LICENSES, SO AS TO PROHIBIT HUNTING WITHIN A TWO THOUSAND YARD INLAND RADIUS OF EITHER SIDE OF THE EAST BRANCH OF THE COOPER RIVER UPSTREAM OF FRENCH QUARTER CREEK, ITS CONTIGUOUS MARSH AND TRIBUTARY STREAMS INCLUDING HUGER AND QUIMBY CREEKS.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Article 1, Chapter 9, Title 50 of the 1976 Code is amended to read:
"Section 50-9-65. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, it shall be unlawful for any person to hunt within a two thousand yard inland radius of either side of the East Branch of the Cooper River upstream of French Quarter Creek, its contiguous marsh and tributary streams, including Huger and Quimby Creeks."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
