AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 25-1-350, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE POWERS AND DUTIES OF THE ADJUTANT GENERAL, SO AS TO ALLOW THE ADJUTANT GENERAL TO ORDER A MEMBER OF THE NATIONAL GUARD OR STATE GUARD TO ACTIVE DUTY FOR NOT MORE THAN FIFTEEN DAYS SUBJECT TO THE CONSENT OF THE GOVERNOR AND THE GUARD MEMBER.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
Power of Adjutant General to order guardsmen to active duty
SECTION 1. Section 25-1-350 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding at the end:
(16) with the consent of the Governor, have the discretion to order to active duty for not more than fifteen days a member of the National Guard or State Guard who consents to that order and for whose pay and allowances funds, as provided in Section 25-1-2200, are available to the Adjutant General without additional state appropriations.
Time effective
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
