A SENATE RESOLUTION

TO EXPRESS THE DEEPEST SYMPATHY OF THE MEMBERS OF THE SOUTH CAROLINA SENATE TO THE FAMILY OF MR. GERALD DENNIS OF BATH WHO DIED DURING THE LEGISLATIVE INTERIM.

Whereas, the members of the Senate were deeply saddened to learn of the death of Mr. Gerald Dennis of Bath who died during the legislative interim on December 18, 1996; and

Whereas, Mr. Dennis was a native of Clearwater, a Navy veteran of World War II, a past president of the Langley Bath Clearwater Booster Club, a past Adjutant of the Langley Bath Clearwater American Legion Post 153, and a retired electrician; and

Whereas, he was a faithful member of Langley United Methodist Church, and a respected citizen of and leader in the Langley Bath Clearwater communities; and

Whereas, the members of the Senate, by this resolution, would like to express their deepest sympathy to his widow, children, other family members, and friends upon the death of this truly fine man. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate:

That the members of the South Carolina Senate hereby express their deepest sympathy to the family of Mr. Gerald Dennis of Bath who died during the legislative interim.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to his widow, Mrs. Patsy Durden Dennis.
