A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO EXPRESS THE DEEPEST SYMPATHY OF THE MEMBERS OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY TO THE FAMILY OF MRS. ELISE J. BOURNE OF GEORGETOWN UPON HER DEATH.

Whereas, the members of the General Assembly were deeply saddened to learn of the death of Mrs. Elise J. Bourne of Georgetown on Tuesday, January 21, 1997; and

Whereas, Mrs. Bourne was a native of Georgetown, a retired employee of the United States Postal Service, and a long-time member of the Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church; and

Whereas, she was widely known throughout the Georgetown community, took great delight in playing bridge, and was loved and respected by all those with whom she came into contact; and

Whereas, Mrs. Bourne was blessed with a large and wonderful family, and she is survived by two sons, two daughters, thirteen grandchildren, and twenty-two great-grandchildren; and

Whereas, the members of the General Assembly, by this resolution, would like to extend their sincere condolences to her family and friends upon the death of this very lovely lady.

Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly hereby express their deepest sympathy to the family of Mrs. Elise J. Bourne of Georgetown upon her death.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the family of Mrs. Bourne.
