A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

HONORING AND COMMENDING MICHELIN NORTH AMERICA FOR ITS MERITORIOUS AND EXEMPLARY SERVICE TO THE PALMETTO STATE IN SETTING A STANDARD OF EXCELLENCE THROUGH THE COMPANY'S UNSOLICITED SERVICE TO THE STATE'S EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM AND ITS STUDENTS THROUGH A DRIVER'S TRAINING PROGRAM.

Whereas, Michelin North America has shown great interest in the youth of South Carolina; and

Whereas, Michelin North America has taken the initiative to protect the lives of millions of South Carolina travelers and drivers; and

Whereas, Michelin North America has developed a curriculum and a driver's course for the seniors of Eastside High School in Greenville County in order to teach them how to handle their automobiles more safely by showing them how to react in emergency situations; and

Whereas, Michelin North America has leveraged its corporate expertise to teach the youth of Eastside High School safety measures that will protect them while they operate vehicles; and

Whereas, Michelin North America continues to serve the citizens of South Carolina by striving to be a responsible corporate citizen. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, honors and commends Michelin North America for its meritorious and exemplary service to the Palmetto State in setting a standard of excellence through the company's unsolicited service to the state's educational system and its students through a driver's training program.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Michelin North America.
