A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

EXPRESSING THE SORROW OF THE MEMBERS OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY AT THE DEATH OF MARY ETHEL "GRANDMA" HAIGLER OF CHARLOTTE AND EXTENDING SYMPATHY TO HER FAMILY AND MANY FRIENDS.

Whereas, Mary Ethel "Grandma" Haigler of Charlotte died on Wednesday, February 5, 1997, at the age of ninety-nine; and

Whereas, Mrs. Haigler was a member of East Calvary Baptist Church; and

Whereas, Mrs. Haigler was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Adam Baxter Haigler, and her daughter, Grace Evelyn Haigler; and

Whereas, she was known for her love and dedication to all her family, including her two sons, Calvin G. Haigler and Reverend Paul Haigler, her three daughters, Yvonne H. Morton, Mildred H. Williams and Betty H. Vita, eleven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren; and

Whereas, we want Mrs. Haigler's family and her many friends to know she is in our thoughts and have our deepest sympathy. Now therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, express sorrow at the death of Mrs. Mary Ethel "Grandma" Haigler of Charlotte and extend sympathy to her family and her many friends.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to

the family of Mrs. Haigler.
