A BILL

TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 48-1-360, SO AS TO SHIFT CERTAIN FEATURES OF THE SOUTH CAROLINA STORM WATER MANAGEMENT AND SEDIMENT REDUCTION ACT TO THE SOUTH CAROLINA POLLUTION CONTROL ACT, AND TO DIRECT THE SOUTH CAROLINA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROL TO PROMULGATE REGULATIONS CONSISTENT WITH FEDERAL REQUIREMENTS TO IMPLEMENT THESE CHANGES; AND TO REPEAL CHAPTER 14, TITLE 48, RELATING TO THE SOUTH CAROLINA STORM WATER MANAGEMENT AND SEDIMENT REDUCTION ACT.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. The 1976 code is amended by adding:

"Section 48-1-360.

SECTION 2. Chapter 14, Title 48 of the 1976 Code is repealed.

SECTION 3. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
