AN ACT TO AFFIRM THE AUTHORITY OF THE STROUD MEMORIAL HOSPITAL DISTRICT COMMISSION IN GREENVILLE COUNTY TO SELL THE ASSETS OF THE DISTRICT TO THE STROUD FAMILY CARE CENTER, INC., AND TO AFFIRM THIS SALE; TO DISSOLVE THE DISTRICT, DISCHARGE THE COMMISSION MEMBERS FROM ALL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES, AND PROVIDE THAT THE ASSETS AND LIABILITIES OF THE DISTRICT ARE TRANSFERRED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE PARTIES; AND TO REPEAL ACT 1239 OF 1964 AND ACTS 613 AND 624 OF 1965, ALL RELATING TO THE STROUD MEMORIAL HOSPITAL DISTRICT.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Sale affirmed; hospital district dissolved and assets and liabilities transferred

SECTION 1. (A) Pursuant to Act 1239 of 1964 and Acts 613 and 624 of 1965, the Stroud Memorial Hospital District Commission, in Greenville County, doing business as Stroud Memorial Nursing Home, the General Assembly declares that the commission had the authority to sell the assets of the Stroud Memorial Hospital District, and the sale of these assets to the South Carolina corporation known as the Stroud Family Care Center, Inc., is hereby affirmed.

(B) The Stroud Memorial Hospital District is dissolved, and the members of the Stroud Memorial Hospital District Commission are discharged of all duties and responsibilities. All assets and liabilities of the district are transferred to the Stroud Family Care Center, Inc., as provided for in the agreement between the parties.

Repeal

SECTION 2. Act 1239 of 1964 and Acts 613 and 624 of 1965 are repealed.

Time effective

SECTION 3. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
