A BILL

TO AMEND SECTION 38-73-10, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE DECLARATION OF THE PURPOSE AND THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE CHAPTER ON PROPERTY, CASUALTY, AND INLAND MARINE INSURANCE AND SURETY RATES AND RATEMAKING ORGANIZATIONS, SO AS TO REPLACE REFERENCES TO "DEPARTMENT OF INSURANCE" WITH "DIRECTOR OF THE DEPARTMENT OF INSURANCE OR HIS DESIGNEE", ALLOW FOR APPROVAL OF RISK CLASSIFICATION AND TERRITORIAL PLANS, AND DELETE CERTAIN LANGUAGE.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. Section 38-73-10(a)(2) of the 1976 Code, as last amended by Section 783 of Act 181 of 1993, is further amended to read:

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
