TO ALLOW THE YORK COUNTY LEGISLATIVE DELEGATION THE AUTHORITY TO OVERRIDE A DECISION OF THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION CONCERNING THE PLACEMENT OF ELECTRICAL TRAFFIC-CONTROL DEVICES.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, by a two-thirds vote of all members, the York County Legislative Delegation may override a decision of the South Carolina Department of Transportation concerning the placement of electrically operated traffic-control signals in York County.
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
