A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

CONGRATULATING MR. HUGH JOHNSON FLOYD OF SUMMERVILLE, WHO AFTER FIFTY YEARS OF GOLF AND AT THE AGE OF SEVENTY-EIGHT, HAS ACHIEVED A HOLE IN ONE--THE ULTIMATE ACHIEVEMENT IN THE SPORT OF GOLF.

Whereas, Mr. Hugh Johnson Floyd of Summerville, after fifty years of the sweet torture that is the sport of golf, has achieved the sport's ultimate--a hole in one; and

Where, this feat, accomplished during a round at the Miler Country Club in Summerville, was accomplished by Mr. Floyd in the seventy-eighth year of his age--a wait not too long for so dedicated and skilled a golfer; and

Whereas, the members of the General Assembly who play or play at the game can appreciate the enormous satisfaction Mr. Floyd may properly feel at so rare a feat; and

Whereas, the members of the General Assembly, by this resolution, wish to congratulate Mr. Floyd and wish for him great good luck in the future in his life-long avocation. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly, by this resolution, congratulate Mr. Hugh Johnson Floyd of Summerville, who after fifty years of golf and at the age of seventy-eight, has achieved a hole in one--the ultimate achievement in the sport of golf.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. Hugh Johnson Floyd.
