TO COMMEND INVESTIGATOR DARRYL ABLES OF THE AIKEN COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE FOR HIS OVERALL EXCELLENCE IN THE PERFORMANCE OF HIS LAW ENFORCEMENT DUTIES AND TO RECOGNIZE HIS NOMINATION BY SHERIFF HOWARD L. SELLERS FOR THE AMERICAN SOCIETY FOR INDUSTRIAL SECURITY "OUTSTANDING LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER AWARD".

Whereas, Investigator Darryl Ables is a twelve-year member of the Aiken County Sheriff's Office; and

Whereas, he began his duties as a dispatcher and quickly advanced through the ranks to deputy, corporal, then sergeant, mastering each level along the way; and

Whereas, he then transferred to the Narcotics Division; and after three years, has moved into Criminal Investigations; and

Whereas, Sheriff Howard L. Sellers says of Investigator Ables' continued excellence and success, "He rises to the challenge of mastering yet another division of our agency. He is an employee who is sincere about a law enforcement career and truly dedicated to his agency"; and

Whereas, Investigator Ables' career with law enforcement is characterized by hard work, tenacity, sincerity, dedication, and excellence; and

Whereas, not only has he mastered the various areas of law enforcement, but also he is patient, willing, and encouraging in his eagerness to assist others in the department who may lack his experience; and

Whereas, Investigator Ables is a sincere and compassionate advocate for the citizens of Aiken County; and

Whereas, to recognize his contributions to the Sheriff's Office and to Aiken County citizens, Sheriff Howard L. Sellers nominated Investigator Darryl Ables for the Outstanding Law Enforcement Officer Award sponsored by the Central Savannah River Chapter of the American Society for Industrial Security. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the House of Representatives, by this resolution, do hereby commend Investigator Darryl Ables of Aiken County Sheriff's Office for his overall excellence in the performance of his law enforcement duties and recognize him for his nomination by Sheriff Howard L. Sellers for the "Outstanding Law Enforcement Officer Award" of the Central Savannah River Chapter of the American Society for Industrial Security.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Investigator Ables.
