TO CELEBRATE WITH DR. JIMMY ROBBINS OF SPARTANBURG COUNTY ON THE ANNIVERSARY OF HIS THIRTY-FIVE YEARS OF FAITHFUL SERVICE TO THE MOUNTAIN VIEW BAPTIST CHURCH IN COWPENS.
Whereas, Dr. Jimmy Robbins of Spartanburg County was called into the discipleship of Jesus Christ; and
Whereas, he heeded that call and undertook to serve through a ministry of preaching; and
Whereas, the past thirty-five years of his ministry have been served at Mountain View Baptist Church in Cowpens; and
Whereas, during that time he has faithfully preached the Word, pastored the congregation, and served his Lord; and
Whereas, the congregation of Mountain View Baptist Church desires to celebrate the faithful ministry of Dr. Robbins; and
Whereas, toward that end, the church has planned an anniversary service and evening of fun and fellowship on Saturday, July 26, 1997. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That the members of the General Assembly do hereby celebrate with Dr. Jimmy Robbins of Spartanburg County on the anniversary of his thirty-five years of faithful service to Mountain View Baptist Church in Cowpens.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Dr. Jimmy Robbins, c/o D. Kyle Atkins, The Pace House, 330 S. Pine Street, Spartanburg, S.C. 29302.
