AN ACT TO AMEND ACT 321 OF 1969, RELATING TO THE CREATION OF THE DRAYTON FIRE DISTRICT IN SPARTANBURG COUNTY, SO AS TO INCREASE THE AMOUNT THE BOARD OF FIRE CONTROL MAY BORROW FROM TWENTY THOUSAND DOLLARS TO FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

District may borrow

SECTION 1. Section 5(h) of Act 321 of 1969 is amended to read:

"(h) To borrow not exceeding five hundred thousand dollars on such terms and for such a period as to the fire control board may seem most beneficial for the fire district in anticipation of taxes. The indebtedness shall be evidenced by a note issued by the members of the board and the county treasurer. The full faith, credit, and taxing power of the Drayton Fire District is hereby irrevocably pledged for the payment of the indebtedness."

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
