EXTENDING THE PRIVILEGE OF THE FLOOR OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES TO OUR CURRENT "MISS SOUTH CAROLINA", JANET POWERS OF HARTSVILLE, AND TO ALL OF THE CONTESTANTS COMPETING IN THE 1998 MISS SOUTH CAROLINA PAGEANT FOR THE PURPOSE OF BEING RECOGNIZED FOR THEIR STATEWIDE AND COMMUNITY SERVICE AND CONGRATULATED ON THE SPECIAL OCCASION OF "MISS SOUTH CAROLINA APPRECIATION DAY" ON WEDNESDAY, APRIL 22, 1998, AT A TIME TO BE DETERMINED BY THE SPEAKER.
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That our current "Miss South Carolina," Janet Powers of Hartsville, and all of the contestants competing in the 1998 Miss South Carolina Pageant are extended the privilege of the floor of the House of Representatives for the purpose of being recognized for their statewide and community service and congratulated on the special occasion of "Miss South Carolina Appreciation Day" on Wednesday, April 22, 1998, at a time to be determined by the Speaker.
