A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

CONGRATULATING THE BANK OF RIDGEWAY ON ITS ONE HUNDREDTH ANNIVERSARY.

Whereas, the Bank of Ridgeway was chartered on December 22, 1898 and is still operating under its original charter; and

Whereas, the bank now has offices in Ridgeway, Winnsboro, and Blythewood; and

Whereas, the current officers and directors of the Bank of Ridgeway include the following: J. N. Crumpton, Chairman; William A. Harwell, President; M.S. Brakefield, Senior Vice President; Thomas W. Copeland, Vice President; Herbert C. Humphries, Vice President; Robert D. Drake, Vice President; T. Heyward Mattox, Vice President/Cashier; Roger A. Gaddy, Director; John V. Nicholson, Jr., Director; Joseph E. Sharpe, Director; Laura M. Thomas, Director; David G. Traylor, Jr., Director; and Thomas B. Edmunds, Director; and

Whereas, the bank has played a major role in many ways in the lives of the citizens of the community for a century and is deserving of special recognition during its centennial celebration. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, congratulates the Bank of Ridgeway on its one hundredth anniversary.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Bank of Ridgeway, P.O. Box 888, Winnsboro, South Carolina 29180.
