RECOGNIZING AND CONGRATULATING JOHN CORBETT AND JOANNE CORBETT OF MANNING ON THE OCCASION OF THEIR BEING NAMED THE RECIPIENT OF THE CLARENDON COUNTY BUSINESS PERSON OF THE YEAR AWARD.
Whereas, the Clarendon County Chamber of Commerce has established and maintains the prestigious Clarendon County Business Person of the Year Award that is presented annually to the outstanding business person in Clarendon County; and
Whereas, John and Joanne Corbett are the owners and operators of Quality Printers of Manning, with offices at 4 West Keitt Street, Manning, South Carolina, and have been in business serving the printing needs of their community for some twenty-five years while maintaining state of the art equipment and printing skills; and
Whereas, throughout the twenty-five years Quality Printers of Manning has been operated by John Corbett, and his lovely wife Joanne, they have provided friendly, quality printing services and supplies to the Manning community and the people of Clarendon County in a timely and reliable manner; and
Whereas, John and Joanne Corbett, in addition to being outstanding citizens, have consistently had a positive impact on Manning and the Clarendon County area, and contributed greatly to the economic development and business community as a whole by being able to fill orders and meet the printing needs of businesses, corporations, and individuals who, but for the local services offered by them and Quality Printers of Manning, would have been required to make their purchases and fill their printing needs from sources outside the Clarendon County area. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That the members of the General Assembly hereby recognize and congratulate John Corbett and Joanne Corbett of Manning on the occasion of their being named the recipient of the Clarendon County Business Person of the Year Award,
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to John Corbett and Joanne Corbett.
