A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

CONGRATULATING BOB ANDREWS MOTORS, INC., OF COLUMBIA ON SEVENTY-FIVE YEARS OF OUTSTANDING SERVICE TO THE RESIDENTS OF THE MIDLANDS.

Whereas, Bob Andrews Motors, Inc., was opened on June 15, 1923, by Robert C. Andrews, Sr.; and

Whereas, the business was originally located at 1315 Taylor Street in the City of Columbia; in 1930 it was moved to 1513 Sumter Street, and it has been in its present location at 1109-11 Harden Street in Columbia since 1940; in 1958 the business was incorporated; and

Whereas, Bob Andrews Motors is currently operated by Robert C. Andrews, Jr., who has been with the company since 1958, and Michael B. Andrews, who has been with the company since 1983; and

Whereas, the motto of Bob Andrews Motors is "We keep Columbia's wheels turning."; and

Whereas, the company has been family owned and operated for seventy-five years and is one of the most respected businesses in the Midlands; it prides itself on outstanding work and genuine customer satisfaction; it has assisted successive generations of numerous Midlands families, and we are pleased to have the opportunity to recognize the company in this special manner. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, congratulates Bob Andrews Motors, Inc., of Columbia on seventy-five years of outstanding service to the residents of the Midlands.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Bob Andrews Motors, Inc., in care of Mr. Robert C. Andrews, Jr.
