A HOUSE RESOLUTION

TO RECOGNIZE WARREN CHAPEL BAPTIST CHURCH IN ORANGEBURG COUNTY ON THE HAPPY OCCASION OF THE INSTALLATION OF THE REVEREND WILLARD S. SABB AS ITS PASTOR ON SUNDAY, APRIL 26, 1998.

Whereas, Warren Chapel Baptist Church in Orangeburg County has called The Reverend Willard S. Sabb to be its pastor and teacher, preacher and leader; and

Whereas, the congregation has affirmed its covenant with him of mutual support for the work of Christ in the world; and

Whereas, The Reverend Sabb will be installed in official recognition of this covenant on Sunday, April 26, 1998; and

Whereas, he is a native son of Orangeburg County, having been born there to Leroy Sabb and the late Bernell Carson Sabb; and

Whereas, he is a lifetime member of his chosen church, having been ordained there on February 14, 1993, after serving as assistant pastor since 1991; and

Whereas, The Reverend Sabb received the Diploma of Practical Theology from the International Seminary in June of 1992, after attending the public schools of Orangeburg County and a tour of duty in the United States Army; and

Whereas, he also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in organizational management from Voorhees College in Denmark in May, 1997, graduating with a 3.00 grade point average in his major course of study; and

Whereas, The Reverend Sabb brings to Warren Chapel Baptist Church not only his intellectual disciplines in management and theology, but also his sincere love for Christ and Christ's church. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the House of Representatives do hereby recognize Warren Chapel Baptist Church in Orangeburg County on the happy occasion of the installation of The Reverend Willard S. Sabb as its pastor on Sunday, April 26, 1998.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to The Reverend Sabb on behalf of Warren Chapel Baptist Church.
