A HOUSE RESOLUTION

TO COMMEND MASTER PUBLIC SAFETY OFFICER PHILLIP A. KESTIN OF AIKEN COUNTY ON PERFORMING HIS DUTIES IN A PROFESSIONAL MANNER AND ON HIS SERVICE TO HIS COMMUNITY.

Whereas, Master Public Safety Officer Phillip A. Kestin of the Aiken Department of Public Safety has performed his duties in the Administrative/Support Services Division in a professional manner; and

Whereas, Officer Kestin is responsible for organizing the Aiken Department of Public Safety's Tip-a-Cop" effort and has worked with area merchants to raise over two thousand dollars for the Special Olympics in both 1997 and 1998; and

Whereas, he has utilized his experience as a graduate engineer, knowledge of computers, and his logical approach toward creating the Aiken Department of Public Safety's current Policies and Procedures Manual; and

Whereas, Officer Kestin has assisted the Commission on Accreditation of Law Enforcement Agencies by sharing his knowledge regarding his department's procedures to comply with the accreditation process; and

Whereas, he has executed his duties in an exemplary and dedicated manner which makes him a credit and asset to the Aiken Department of Public Safety; and

Whereas, the members of the General Assembly, by this resolution, would like to publicly commend Master Public Safety Officer Phillip A. Kestin on his accomplishments. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly hereby commend Master Public Safety Officer Phillip A. Kestin of Aiken County on performing his duties in a professional manner and on his service to his community.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Master Public Safety Officer Phillip A. Kestin.
