TO CONGRATULATE JARED DANIEL MOBLEY OF BARNWELL COUNTY ON THE OCCASION OF HIS GRADUATION FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH CAROLINA SCHOOL OF LAW AND TO WISH HIM THE VERY BEST AS HE FURTHERS HIS LEGAL EDUCATION AT THE NEW YORK UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF LAW.
Whereas, Jared Daniel Mobley of Barnwell County has recently graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law; and
Whereas, for the past two years this quiet and pensive young man served as a law clerk in Legislative Council contributing his considerable research skills in assisting the staff and members of the General Assembly; and
Whereas, Mr. Mobley served as a Legal Writing Teaching Assistant during his tenure as a student at the University of South Carolina School of Law; and
Whereas, while in law school Mr. Mobley distinguished himself with several notable awards and recognitions including the Sinkler, Gibbes and Simon Scholarship Recipient, 1995-98; Arthur B. Custy Tax Award, 1998; Wig and Robe, 1998; CALI Award for Corporate Tax, Fall 1997; and serving on the Honor Council, 1996-97; and
Whereas, Jared Mobley was recently honored by being accepted to the prestigious New York University School of Law to pursue the degree of LLM in Taxation; and
Whereas, the members of the General Assembly will miss Mr. Mobley's valuable assistance when he leaves the Legislative Council, but takes comfort in the hope that he will return to the Palmetto State to offer his honed legal skills to its citizens. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, congratulate Jared Daniel Mobley of Barnwell County on the occasion of his graduation from the University of South Carolina School of Law and wish him the very best as he furthers his legal education at the New York University School of Law.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Jared Daniel Mobley.
