A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO CONGRATULATE MISS LORI M. GILSTRAP OF CLARENDON COUNTY ON BEING SELECTED MISS SOUTH CAROLINA NATIONAL TEENAGER AND TO WISH HER MUCH SUCCESS AS SHE COMPETES FOR THE TITLE OF AMERICA'S NATIONAL TEENAGER.

Whereas, Miss Lori M. Gilstrap of Clarendon County has been selected to represent the Town of Manning and the State of South Carolina as Miss South Carolina National Teenager; and

Whereas, as Miss South Carolina National Teenager, Lori has received over twenty-five thousand dollars in tuition scholarships and will represent our State at Opryland USA in Nashville, Tennessee, in America's National Teenager competition during the week of July 25th through August 1st, 1998; and

Whereas, she is active in the BETA Club, FCA, community outreach, and Christian service through her church youth group, choir and AWANA program; and

Whereas, the members of the General Assembly, by this resolution, would like to publicly recognize and congratulate Miss Lori M. Gilstrap on being selected Miss South Carolina National Teenager. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly hereby commend and congratulate Miss Lori M. Gilstrap of Clarendon County on her selection as Miss South Carolina National Teenager and wish her much success as she competes for the title of America's National Teenager.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Miss Gilstrap.
