A HOUSE RESOLUTION

COMMENDING AND EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO MRS. CHARLOTTE RAIFORD FOR THIRTY-SIX YEARS OF OUTSTANDING AND DEDICATED SERVICE AS TEACHER OF MATHEMATICS AT AIKEN HIGH SCHOOL AND AS EDUCATOR OF THE STUDENTS OF AIKEN COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS.

Whereas, Mrs. Charlotte Raiford has served with great dedication and distinction for thirty-six years as teacher of mathematics at Aiken High School as an educator of the students of Aiken County public schools; and

Whereas, her love and enthusiasm for educating children has been vital to Aiken High School and the education of its children; and

Whereas, her knowledge of the evolving mathematics curriculum and wisdom in its application, as well as her keen ability to motivate students and maximize classroom learning, have been invaluable; and

Whereas, Mrs. Raiford has worked diligently for excellence in public education in the community and State, and her many contributions over the years are deserving of special recognition and expressions of gratitude for her efforts on behalf of Aiken County public schools; and

Whereas, her service to the teachers, children, and parents of the Aiken High School family and to the community will always be appreciated, and as she retires at the close of the 1997-98 school term, she will be greatly missed. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the House of Representatives, by this resolution, commend and express sincere appreciation to Mrs. Charlotte Raiford for her thirty-six years of outstanding and dedicated service as teacher of mathematics at Aiken High School and as an educator of the students of Aiken County public schools.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mrs. Charlotte Raiford.
