CONGRATULATING AND COMMENDING JIM SANDERS OF CHEROKEE COUNTY AND PRESIDENT OF SANDERS BROS. UPON THE OCCASION OF HIS INDUCTION INTO THE CHEROKEE COUNTY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE HALL OF FAME.
Whereas, Jim Sanders of Cherokee County is President of Sanders Bros., one of the leading industrial contractors in the country; and
Whereas, he has directed and guided the operation of Sanders Bros. over the years since his graduation from Clemson into the twenty-fourth largest business firm in the State of South Carolina; and
Whereas, his business successes are matched only by his unselfish service to his community, being a past director of the Palmetto Family Council, Cherokee County Young Life, Spartanburg-Cherokee-Union Tech Prep Consortium, and the Cherokee County Foundation; and
Whereas, Jim Sanders currently serves as director of the Baptist Foundation, Clemson IPTAY, and Spartanburg Day School; and
Whereas, in recognition of his business and charitable achievements, he has been inducted into the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce Hall of Fame. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:
That Jim Sanders of Cherokee County and President of Sanders Bros. is hereby congratulated and commended by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina upon the occasion of his induction into the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce Hall of Fame.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Jim Sanders.
