A SENATE RESOLUTION

TO COMMEND THE HONORABLE WILLIAM L. GRAY, MAYOR PRO TEMPORE OF THE CITY OF NORTH AUGUSTA, FOR HIS DISTINGUISHED CAREER OF PUBLIC SERVICE UPON HIS RETIREMENT AS MAYOR PRO TEMPORE.

Whereas, the members of the Senate have learned with deep regret that the Honorable William L. Gray, Mayor Pro Tempore of the City of North Augusta, is retiring from this office; and

Whereas, South Carolina has been blessed over the years with many capable local public officials and Mr. Gray exemplifies this type of person who has given freely of his time and talents to his community; and

Whereas, North Augusta has a reputation throughout our State as a wonderful city in which to live and work and this is due in no small part to the efforts of Mr. Gray; and

Whereas, the members of the Senate, by this resolution, would like publicly to recognize and thank this truly outstanding South Carolinian for his service to the City of North Augusta upon the occasion of his retirement as mayor pro tempore. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate:

That the members of the Senate commend the Honorable William L. Gray, Mayor Pro Tempore of the City of North Augusta, for his distinguished career of public service upon his retirement as mayor pro tempore.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Honorable William L. Gray.
